Rebugging the System

Empowering communities to protect and restore insect biodiversity through education, rewilding, and citizen science.

Nature's code is full of bugs

And thatโ€™s exactly how itโ€™s meant to be.

From pollination to pest control, soil health to seed dispersal, insects are the tiny engineers running the worldโ€™s ecosystems. Each one is a line of code in natureโ€™s operating system โ€” delete them, and everything crashes.

Our Services

Empowering communities to protect insects through impactful evidence-based conservation, education initiatives, engagement opportunities and ecological services for a sustainable future.

Citizen Science

At Rebugged, we consider ourselves to be an evidence-based company. This means that everything we do is backed by the most up-to-date science, and things that we don't know, we investigate! This ensures that our activities make the most impact possible, for both people and the environment.

Our citizen science projects invite you to become part of the research, from monitoring pollinator populations to mapping local habitats and recording insect diversity. No experience needed, just curiosity and a willingness to explore. By taking part, youโ€™ll help us gather vital data that informs conservation efforts, shapes green spaces, and supports biodiversity net gain.

Want to get started? Reach out to join an ongoing project or request a workshop for your community, school, or group.

Environmental Education

We believe that curiosity is the first step toward conservation. Rebugged runs engaging, evidence-based education programmes to raise awareness about the importance of insects and biodiversity. From delivering interactive school sessions and community workshops to producing bite-sized social media content, our aim is to make environmental science accessible and exciting for all ages.

We cover topics like pollinator ecology, insect-friendly gardening, biodiversity net gain, and how everyday choices impact the ecosystems around us. Whether itโ€™s a talk at a local community centre or a workshop for a corporate away day, our education services are tailored to meet different needs.

Sustainable Beekeeping

Through our sub-brand Winginโ€™ It Apiaries, we promote a mindful, ethical approach to beekeeping that prioritises both bee welfare and biodiversity. Unlike intensive commercial beekeeping, we use low-intervention techniques and site our hives within diverse, insect-friendly landscapes.

We offer beginner-friendly guidance for those interested in starting their own hive, as well as talks and training on pollinator diversity, hive health, and sustainable honey harvesting. Honey produced by our bees is sold to support our community programmes and conservation efforts.
